I'm Torry Rowell, a senior at Severance High School in northern Colorado. The beats and the writing start the same way: a small fragment, a loop or a few lines in my notes app, that I keep adding to until it turns into something bigger than I planned. Most of "As the Mountain Is" was written in my head while I was mowing on my summer job. Not everything I make lands, and I'm fine with that; I want each piece to be sincere.

The coding works the same way. I build things to see if I can, and I learn the most from the versions that don't work. Next year I want to study computer science alongside psychology.
